YOU ARE INVITED!

10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.

Clean-Up & Green-Up Day
States Landing Roadway, Beach, Park & Boat Ramp Facility

The Town continues to work on the States Landing project. – Beach, Park, Launch and Parking. This has included beginning the permitting process, gradually installing small park features such as grills and continued commitment to the project. At the Annual Town Meeting $300,000 was voted into the Capital Reserve Account for the project.

We hope to keep the wonderful momentum that has been ongoing since January of 2013 when so many of the States Landing “neighbors” and supporters came out to a share their ideas and concerns about this town asset. This will be our 5th States Landing Clean-up Green up.

We’ll start at 10:00 with a welcome and begin our work party. Among the day’s projects scheduled is to install a horseshoe pit. When the work is done, we’ll enjoy a barbecue lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs, chips, and drinks prepared by Town officials.  At that time we will bring you up to date with the latest progress on the project.

The Moultonborough Milfoil Committee will be on hand to speak to anyone who is interested being a weed watcher or lake host. They will explain how to look for and identify milfoil. Some kayaks will be available or you can bring your own. In addition, they will give information about the open lake host positions for weekends this summer.

Please bring, if you have them, your work gloves, garden and lawn rakes, pointed and flat shovels and loppers, and - if possible - a folding chair for the “Chat & Chew” lunch/discussion portion of the day.
