New Hampshire law requires the Secretary of State’s office to randomly audit 8 ballot counting devices used across the state after each state election. The municipalities are chosen after all ballot counting devices have been programmed and election officials in the selected towns/cities are not notified until partway through election day.
One of Moultonborough’s devices was selected for the November 5th Presidential election and the audit began promptly on Wednesday, November 6th. The results were excellent, demonstrating that the VotingWorks ballot counting devices Moultonborough uses efficiently and accurately tabulate votes.
