Town Planner 


Moultonborough, a community in the beautiful Lakes Region of NH and the gateway to White Mountains region, seeks a Town Planner.   This position supports the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Heritage Commission, Conservation Commission, Capital Improvements Program Committee, and others as required as the Department Head in an integrated Land Use Office.  

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in planning, zoning, subdivision, and site plan review regulations, environmental issues and other applicable statutes.  Strict knowledge of construction, building and health regulatory environment to coordinate technical review sessions.  Candidates must be skilled in written and oral communication and be able to work effectively with an actively engaged local community.  Night meetings are required.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in planning, business/public administration, landscape architecture or a related field.  Five years’ experience in professional planning, preferably in local government, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Master’s degree in planning, urban planning, and supervision, budgeting, and management experience desired.  AICP and other certifications preferred.

Salary
The salary range for the position is $77,700. to $104,900.  Starting salary will be based on qualifications and prior experience.
