When voting in any Primary election, voters who have a party declared (Democrat or Republican) can only receive the ballot for their declared party. Voters who are “Undeclared,” may choose either ballot on election day and will become affiliated with the party whose ballot they choose. Undeclared voters can return to undeclared status after casting their ballot by signing the party change book at the polling place on election day or with the Town Clerk or Supervisors of the Checklist after election day.
Moultonborough voters can check their party affiliation online through the Secretary of State’s website, on the Voter Checklist in the lobby of Town Hall, or by contacting the Town Clerk’s office.
If you would like to change your party affiliation, you may do so in the Town Clerk’s office Monday* – Friday between 7:30 am and 4 pm or at a Supervisors of the Checklist session. Please bring a government-issued photo ID in either case. The next meeting of the Supervisors of the Checklist will take place on Tuesday, June 4th from 7 – 7:30 pm at Town Hall.
The last day for voters to change party affiliation prior to the State Primary election
will be Tuesday, June 4th, 2024.
* Town Hall will be closed Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day.
