JOB OPPORTUNITIES

LAND USE DEPARTMENT

 

 

 

The Town of Moultonborough is actively seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused professionals to become a vital part of our forward-thinking Land Use Department.

 

The following positions are available:

 

Office Clerk-Inspections - Part-time, 19 hrs +/-.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent, and documented training in computer, secretarial and clerical skills. Provides comprehensive administrative and customer service support for the Land Use Department. Assist the public with building and subcontractor permit applications, processing and tracking documentation, managing digital and physical files, and supporting the Code Enforcement Officer and Town Planner.

 

Administrative Assistant – Full-time, 40hrs per week.

Associate degree related to planning, administration, management or related field. 

Provides administrative and customer service support for the Land Use Department.  Assist the public with permit applications, inquiries, and documentation related to building and subcontractor permits. Provides Administrative support to the Town Planner.

 

Code Enforcement Officer - Full-time.  

Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.  Certification in IBC (International Residential Building Code) within one year of hire.  Reviews permit applications, conduct building and site inspections, and enforce compliance with zoning, building, and health regulations. Enforce public health laws and rules, conduct sanitary investigations, and respond to health and safety concerns within the community. 

 

Code Enforcement Officer – Part-time.  

High School Diploma or GED equivalent, and documented computer skills.  Assists in enforcement of the Town’s Code Enforcement Program by investigating complaints, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with local and state regulations. Works closely with the Code Enforcement Officer and Town Planner to address violations, issue notices, and support legal actions when necessary.

 

Three to five years’ experience, preferably in a municipal setting; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and ability.
