Late fees for dog licensing have begun! Each unlicensed dog will be charged $1 more per month until the dog is licensed.
The Town Clerk is required by law to report all unlicensed dogs to the Select Board in June. The Select Board must then pass the names of those dog owners to the Moultonborough Police Department which triggers the civil forfeiture process.
In July, an additional $25 per unlicensed dog will then be charged to the owner on top of the regular fee and monthly late fees.
The Town Clerk’s office is open Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4 pm. You may also renew your dog license online, through the mail, or through the drop box outside Town Hall’s front door.
We are unable to process dog licenses without a valid rabies certificate. If your dog has received a rabies shot in the past year, please provide that at the time of renewal.
June Pricing: $8.50 for a spayed/neutered dog, $11 for an unaltered dog, $4.00 for the first dog owned by a senior citizen (any additional dogs are at the regular price).
