[ARCHIVED] UNLICENSED DOG FINES BEGIN JUNE 1

Per state law, any dogs that remain unlicensed as of June 1st will be charged an additional monthly fine on top of the regular license fee. This charge will increase monthly until the dog is licensed.

The Town Clerk is required by law to report all unlicensed dogs to the Select Board in June. The Select Board must then report these dog owners to the Moultonborough Police Department which triggers the civil forfeiture process. An additional $25 per unlicensed dog will then be charged to the owner on top of the regular fee and monthly fees.

AVOID ALL LATE FEES BY LICENSING YOUR DOG BEFORE JUNE 1ST. The Town Clerk’s office is open Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4 pm (no midday closure). You may also renew your dog license online, through the mail, or through the drop box outside Town Hall’s front door. Payment and rabies information (if we don’t have a current rabies certificate on file) must be received by May 31st to avoid late fees.

May Pricing: $7.50 for a spayed/neutered dog, $10 for an unaltered dog, $3.00 for the first dog owned by a senior citizen (any additional dogs are at the regular price).

Please reach out with any questions at TownClerk@MoultonboroughNH.gov or (603) 476-2347.
