Building Inspections During COVID-19 Pandemic
As of April 6, 2020, building inspections will continue to be performed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on a case by case basis. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time.
Applying for Building & Subcontractor Permits During COVID-19 Pandemic
Due to Town offices being closed to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic as of Thursday, March 19, 2020, building and subcontractor permits may be applied for via the mail, email, fax, or left in the Town Hall’s drop box (#10 envelope size only). Building permits will be reviewed and the Code & Compliance office will call you to let you know that the permit has been approved and the fee that is due. If submitting a set of plans, please email the Code & Compliance officer or call for an appointment. Subcontractor permits being mailed should include payment of $50 (payable to the Town of Moultonborough). Approved Building Permits will be returned once payment is received. During this national emergency, our office will strive to meet Moultonborough property owners’ needs and work with the contractors to get this done. It is very important that the permits be fully completed, i.e., telephone numbers, email addresses, fax numbers, etc. to ensure that information is received from our office and returned to you in a timely manner. Failure to provide all requested information will postpone approval. All forms are available on the Code & Compliance web page, Downloadable Forms & Permits. The Code & Compliance officer will be available by telephone and inspections will continue to be scheduled until further notice. An appointment can be made to meet with the Code & Compliance officer if deemed absolutely necessary, but be advised that we are unable to schedule your appointment if you have a fever, or respiratory symptoms such as a cough or sore throat, traveled internationally in the past 14 days, been in contact with a person with COVID-19 or have COVID-19.
