Overview
The Moultonborough Pathway provides a safe route down Moultonborough Neck Road for walkers and cyclists. It helps "green" our community, and provides an alternative travel mode to automobiles. The Pathway is a Three Phase project. When complete, the Pathway will stretch from NH Route 25 to the end of Long Island at Harilla Landing. The Pathway will provide approximately 65,000 feet (more than 12 miles) of safe, attractive, and enjoyable activity for walkers and cyclists in the summer, to the use of snowshoes and cross-country skis in the winter.
Further plans include connecting the pathway to a Lakes Region Planning Commission's proposed trail. This trail will go around Lake Winnipesaukee, connecting Moultonborough to other lakeside towns.
The 5K (5-Kilometer) and 10K (10-Kilometer) road race and walk occurs every year and continues to be a successful fundraiser for the Pathway. If you are interested in supporting the Pathway through the road race or in any other way, please contact the Moultonborough Recreation Department.
The 23rd annual Pathway road race is set for Saturday, September 4th!
