Elections / Voter Information

Elections & Voter Registrations

In order to participate in local or state elections and meetings, you must be registered to vote. You may register to vote at the Town Clerk's office more than 6 to 13 days prior to an election, depending on when the supervisors of the checklist meet to finalize the voter checklist, or at the polls on an election (not meeting) day. You must be 18 years of age or older on the day of the next election, a U.S. citizen, and domiciled in Moultonborough. You must present proof of age, identification, domicile, and citizenship. You may present a birth certificate, passport, or naturalization papers as proof of citizenship. If you are unable to obtain these papers, you must complete an affidavit of citizenship.

See additional Voter Registration Information.

To change party affiliation, voters must bring their government-issued photo ID into the Town Clerk's office and complete a new Voter Registration Form indicating their party change. This may be done any time that the Town Clerk is open except for the period of time between the first day of a filing period for a primary election and the election itself.
